** NEWS ** 3/26/08

I have recently begun revamping Demon Hunter, so if you see a line through a section of the text, or note that certain sections sound MUCH better than later, it's just where I left off. Inspiration is intermittent, as is my time to work on this project, so bear with if it gets kinda ... jumbled.

     I have been writing for several years now, mainly off and on as the muse strikes and procrastination does not rear his ugly head.
     Karma of War was my first, one that I have been intermittently doing since maybe around '02 or so. Yes, I know that's a long time to be working on something with practically nothing to show for it, but I was lazy and life interfered. Same goes for Demon Hunter, which has been in progress since perhaps '03 or '04.
     Now, when I say "in progress", that means really their conception. If I jot down a new paragraph or two every 6 months I'm surprised, so that explains their brevity, but lately I've been getting back into writing (due to my waning interest in WoW). Perhaps they will be fully ressurrected in due time, but it all depends. For now I am placing them on the back burner as secondary projects.
     Recently I have come up with 2 or 3 additional plotlines for other books, but I shall more than likely leave them in the short story genre. Perhaps once that bit is done I shall lengthen them to full novel status.
     Heaven's Jest is the latest addition to my small family of writing, conceived in late '06 or early '07, and for lack of a better phrase it has a grip on my soul. The idea came to me late at night (or early in the morning depending on your point of view) after a long bout of anime watching. Some of the "lessons" from those stories meshed with ideas and thoughts that have been coalescing in my mind over recent time, and somehow the plot for this story sprang into my mind, well nigh fully formed. It has developed and evolved over the last few days and each time it only sounds better to me. Perhaps this is the catalyst I needed to get off my butt and finish at least one of my projects. I'm going to try to keep the creative juices flowing and get it down as soon as I'm able (but there is no telling how long this will last), so check back often.
